Automatically add shapes as vector layers

Learn how to add basic shapes to your canvas and fill color.

Select shapes and fill color

The Shapes tool is redesigned to include a set of new basic shapes. Add them to your canvas with a single tap. Each shape is placed on its own vector layer. You can add, organize, and edit multiple shapes independently on a single canvas. 

  1. To add a shape, tap the Shapes  tool and select a shape from the Basic tab.
    The shape appears in edit mode and is highlighted in the Layer Thumbnails panel.

  2. To change the shape, tap a different shape and continue swapping shapes as needed.
    The new shape will replace the previous one.

  3. Select the desired color from the Color Chip  tool .

  4. Select another shape, and a new vector layer is created using your current color setting. 

    Tip

    You can add multiple shape layers to the canvas. To edit a shape, tap it in the Basic tab. Its layer thumbnail will be highlighted for easy selection. Use Undo to revert changes as needed.

  5. Tap Done action to confirm your edits. 

    Note

    You can reselect and edit any basic shape at any time.
