Learn how to resolve error code 192 "A newer version of the application is already installed" during Adobe app installation.
Error code 192 indicates that the installation failed because a newer version of the app is already installed on your computer.
A newer version is already installed on your system
Uninstall the existing version on your system, and then reinstall the app.
Note
If your screen looks different, follow the instructions for the earlier versions of the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Go to Apps > All Apps, and select More actions for the app you want to uninstall.
Select Uninstall in the context menu.
When prompted, select one of the following based on your preference:
- Keep: Retains the app notifications, alerts, interface settings, plugins, and other preferences
- Remove: Removes the app notifications, alerts, interface settings, plugins, and other preferences
- Cancel: Cancels the uninstallation
Install the app again.
If needed, you can also install an older version of your app using the Creative Cloud desktop app.
