Send projects to the Premiere desktop

Last updated on 26 Nov 2025

Learn how to send your project to Premiere on desktop from Premiere on iPhone for advanced editing and seamless workflow.

Sending a project from Premiere on iPhone or iPad to Premiere on desktop lets you continue working on it and use the additional tools and effects available in the desktop version for your video editing. You can review the project’s file count and size before sending to ensure everything’s ready for transfer.

If you have Adobe cloud storage, ensure you have an Adobe account with cloud storage enabled. This is essential for transferring your projects and media. Open Premiere on your desktop and sign in with the same Adobe account you used on mobile.

If you are a new user, you can download Premiere on desktop from the Creative Cloud website. If prompted, sign in to your Adobe account, then select either Download or Install for your app. Learn more about downloading Creative Cloud apps.

Note

When you send a project from your mobile device to the desktop, a copy of both the media and the project file is uploaded to Adobe cloud storage. This process only transfers data from mobile to desktop, so your subsequent changes on either device won’t sync between them.

On the home screen, locate the project you want to send.

Select the three-dot  menu on the project card.

Select Send a copy to desktop.
