Last updated on 7 July 2026

Learn how to edit, organize, and share PDFs using Acrobat for WhatsApp.

Open PDFs from WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp Desktop for Windows and edit them directly in Acrobat. Update content, organize pages, and share the file without switching apps. Refer to Acrobat for WhatsApp FAQs for feature details, access, and availability.

Open WhatsApp Web or WhatsApp Desktop for Windows and select a PDF in any chat.

Note

If the Adobe Acrobat extension for Chrome or the Acrobat extension for Edge is installed, PDFs open directly in the Acrobat extension.

Preview the PDF in the chat and select the thumbnail to open it in full‑screen view.

Note

If the PDF is password-protected, you'll be asked to enter the password first.

Select Edit PDF > Edit in Acrobat from the top menu.

Select Continue to Acrobat and sign in to your Adobe account if prompted.

Select the text you want to modify, then use the Format text and Add content options in the Edit pane to:

  • Format text: Change the font, size, style, color, or spacing.
  • Add content: Insert new text or images.
  • Manage layout: Adjust objects or reposition sections.
Note

Editing PDFs requires a paid Acrobat plan and signing‑in. You can only view PDFs and use free tools without a subscription.
