Creative Cloud Synced files End of life for Media Encoder

To improve the Adobe Creative Cloud storage experience, we will discontinue Creative Cloud Synced files for business plans, including Creative Cloud for Teams and Creative Cloud for Enterprise. 

Starting December 11, 2023, new users and organizations will not be entitled to Creative Cloud Synced files. Starting February 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for personal accounts that existed before December 11, 2023. Starting October 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for business accounts created before December 11, 2023.

Moving your workflow away from using Creative Cloud Synced files as soon as possible is highly recommended.  Follow these instructions to download all your content from Creative Cloud Files. 

In version 24.1 (December 2024), Media Encoder will check if you have access using your Adobe ID. If you have access, you'll see the UI and be able to use the functions. If you need access, the following UI and associated functionality are available.

Shortcuts

  • Quick access shortcuts have been removed from the left pan in Adobe Media Encoder.

Encoding settings and Ingest settings

  • Non-entitled users will not be able to create encoding presets with Creative Cloud as a destination

  • Non-entitled users will be prompted to change presets and Ingest settings where the destination is set to the Creative Cloud files directory.

New Projects

  • When creating new Projects in Premiere Pro, ingest settings will no longer offer the option to set the Creative Cloud files folder as the destination.

  • For proxy workflows, users will also be required to specify a different location
