Follow along with any project to learn how to retouch images.

  1. On the Photoshop on the web homepage, under Start something new, select Upload an image and browse for a file on your device.

  2. Select Size & position > Crop .

  3. Adjust the canvas size by dragging the corner handles outward in the direction you want to expand.

  4. In the Contextual task bar that appears, select Generative expand .

  5. Type an effective prompt in the What would you like to generate textbox.

    Tip:

    Leave the prompt textbox empty if you want the selection to be filled based on the surrounding pixels in the image.

  6. Select your desired image from the Contextual task bar.

    Note:
    • Select to generate more variations of the image based on the current prompt and Layer properties to edit the prompt and generate new variations.
    • Select More actions to access other options: Good result, Bad result, Delete variation, Report variation, Generative AI terms, Watch quick video, and Hide contextual task bar.
  7. Select Download.
