After pressing the PrtSc (Print Screen) key, a screenshot bar will open, letting you choose between capturing the full screen or selecting a specific area. You can also capture screenshots from the Home screen or from the View and Edit screens. Once captured, the screenshot is automatically saved to your clipboard and your default screenshot folder. From there, you can quickly mark it up using shapes, a pen, or a highlighter for easy edits.

Adobe Express Photos rebrand

Adobe Photoshop Express on desktop is rebranding to Adobe Express Photos, featuring the same functionalities, but with a new name and icon.

Adobe is aligning this photo editing tool under the Adobe Express brand to provide a more unified experience that allows access to creative image editing and design features across platforms.

No, your photos and saved projects remain safe and accessible. The rebranding will not impact your existing work or cloud storage.

No, your current app will update automatically to Adobe Express Photos. You do not need to take any action unless prompted by your device for updates.

Your plan and subscription will not change. Adobe Express Photos continues to offer easy, free image viewing, editing, and screenshot tools. 

Adobe Express Photos will include all the features you know from Photoshop Express, plus new screenshot, image editing and design tools. 

Yes, Photoshop Express remains available as a mobile app on iOS and Android. This rebrand only affects the desktop version.

Downloaded images auto-open in Adobe Express Photos

This is due to an update that automatically detects downloaded images and opens them in Adobe Express Photos. This helps you quickly view, edit, or enhance images without having to search for files. 

No. If you’ve installed or updated Adobe Express Photos, images you download from the web may open in Express Photos the first time you download them. However, Express Photos won’t be set as your default image viewer without your consent. You can change your default image viewer in Windows settings at any time.

You can turn this off in a couple of ways:

Revert the shortcut on first use: When you open Adobe Express Photos for the first time after installing or updating the app, you’ll see an option to turn this off.

Revert from Settings

  1. Open Adobe Express Photos.  
  2. Select your profile icon in the top-right corner. 
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select the images downloaded from the web toggle button to disable.

No. Adobe does not train its AI models on user images. Adobe’s AI features follow Adobe’s privacy standards and responsible AI practices.  

Disabling does not delete your existing screenshots or projects. All files remain accessible.  

Screenshot shortcut 

The shortcut has been updated to launch screenshot capture in Adobe Express Photos. You are given control and can revert at any time. This allows you to capture, edit, and enhance screenshots in one place.

You can switch back to the snipping tool in a few ways:

Revert the shortcut on first use

Press the PrtSc (Print Screen) key and then select Revert to disable the Print Screen shortcut and return to your current screenshot tool.

Revert from Settings

  1. Open Adobe Express Photos.  
  2. Select your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select the Screenshot Shortcut toggle button to disable.

  3. Select Print Screen key
