The Free offer isn't the same as the enterprise trial offer.
Once the offer is available in your Admin Console, you can start assigning licenses to the users to help them be more productive and creative.
Follow your ETLA (Enterprise Term License Agreement) guidelines for org-wide assignments.
-
Navigate to the Products tab in the Adobe Admin Console.
-
From the list of all products and services, select Adobe Express & Adobe Firefly.
-
Select the product profile for default configuration and select Add User.
-
On the Add Users screen, enter a user name, user group, or email address. You can search for existing users or add users by specifying a valid email address and filling in the information on the screen.
-
Select Save. Product assignments may take a few minutes to complete and assigned users get notified over email with instructions on how to get started.
To add multiple users, you can use any of the following methods:
- Automate the user management for your Admin Console directory using Azure Sync or Google Sync.

Self-serve capability and automatic assignment rules are only available if your organization uses Adobe storage for business.
To simplify license management for your organization, Adobe has added a new user self-serve setting in the Admin Console. When enabled, users in your organization can securely sign in to Adobe Express or Firefly via SSO and receive automatic access. This setting ensures that users who access Adobe Express or Firefly get added to your organization with a secure, managed user ID.
Once the trial offer is available for your organization, sign in to the Adobe Admin Console to activate the automatic assignment rule for Adobe Express and Firefly.
If no action is taken, Adobe enables the self-serve setting 30 days after the offer is available (only for the trial offer). This setting can be changed on the Automatic assignment rules page in the Admin Console at any time.
After you have assigned licenses or activated the assignment rule, you can share this handbook with the users to get them started.
-
Navigate to the Products tab in the Admin Console, and go to Product access automation > Automatic assignment rule.
-
Select the check box for the assignment rule.
-
Select Activate.
-
Turn on the toggle to inform users in your organization about the availability of Adobe Express and Firefly. Users in your Admin Console without a Creative Cloud license will receive an email with a link to start the trial for the premium version of Adobe Express and Firefly. After they sign in, a license is assigned automatically.
If you keep the toggle off, users in your Admin Console can still open Adobe Express or Firefly and sign in with SSO to automatically get a license. However, Adobe recommends turning it on.
-
Select Activate.

Common questions
With the trial offer added to your Admin Console:
- A new product will be added — Adobe Express & Adobe Firefly - Trial.
- Automatic account creation will be turned on on your domain for easy and secure access to the product.
- Automatic product assignment will be added for the trial product.
IP indemnification is protection against legal claims that your Firefly output violates someone else’s intellectual property rights, subject to the terms and conditions of the customer agreement. You can check the Firefly features available for IP indemnification, which may vary by plan. IP indemnity isn't supported as part of the trial offer.
The free trial offer does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. After it ends, you can choose to do one of the following:
- Renew the premium version of Adobe Express and Firefly for all users
After the trial offer ends, you can purchase the premium version of Adobe Express and Firefly for all users in your organization at a flat fee. You won't need to migrate users or worry about the assets. Users can continue to use the application without any disruption. - Switch to a mix of the premium and free versions of Adobe Express and Firefly
You can purchase the single-app licenses for the premium version of Adobe Express and Firefly for some users and assign the Creative Cloud for enterprise - free membership to the rest. In this case, you must migrate users from the trial offer to the single-app licenses or the free membership.
- Downgrade all users to the free versions of the applications
Downgrade to the Creative Cloud for enterprise - free membership for all your users. You must migrate users from the trial offer to free membership.

This is a free offer. However, if you still choose not to participate, you can remove or pause the automatic assignment rule for the offer. If you remove or pause the automatic assignment rule, licenses will no longer be automatically assigned to the users in your organization on sign-up. You must manually add new users to the organization and assign the licenses.
Users who already have access to the applications won't be affected. You can remove users or user groups from the default configuration product profile to revoke access from existing users.
If you don't want automatic account creation turned on as part of the trial offer, contact your Adobe Account Manager. Or, you can control the setting in the Admin Console after Adobe enables it automatically 30 days after the trial offer is available.
If you have a Creative Cloud for enterprise membership, the parent and child organization will receive the offer. Administrators can assign licenses from the child org directly without distributing the trial offer to child orgs as it is auto-distributed.
Enterprise organizations with existing Creative Cloud memberships will receive the site-wide trial offer. When you purchase the site-wide plan, it is recommended that you consolidate domain trust to share the license across multiple consoles for users to access the trial easily.
Each user who is assigned the site-wide offer receives 1TB of storage. The site-wide offer doesn't contribute to pooled storage of the organization. Pooled storage is calculated based on other seat-based licenses. The admin can manage individual storage and view how much each user has used.
Admins can limit self-serve to specific users by modifying the automatic assignment rule for the site-wide offer.
Creative Cloud Libraries let you gather design elements for specific projects, clients, or teams within your Creative Cloud apps. Edit an image in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, then incorporate it into a stunning design using Adobe Express. Collect and organize your content in your libraries, and share your libraries with team members so everyone can access approved assets in one place.
Once you assign licenses manually or activate the automatic assignment rule choosing to inform the users, they receive an email notification with a link to Adobe Express. Selecting the link, they are prompted to sign in with SSO or create a password. After onboarding to Adobe Express, the users receive a series of onboarding emails. One of the emails is about Firefly, where they are directed to sign in.
Also, 30 days after the trial offer is available, Adobe activates automatic account creation for users without a federated account to automatically create one with your organization based on a verified email domain. So, when users from your organization who aren't in your Admin Console sign in to Adobe Express or Firefly, they're prompted to sign in with SSO. On signing in successfully, their federated account is created, and they automatically get access to the application if the automatic assignment rule is activated.
All existing data, including published content, will be available on the cloud. The user will not have access to it if the offer is removed from the user. If a user is deleted from the Admin Console and the admin uses asset reclamation, then all data is transferred as part of the asset reclamation flow.
To ensure Adobe Express users are aligned to corporate branding standards, organizations should provide brand guidelines and create a brand library.
