Applies to enterprise & teams.

Prerequisites

To use Microsoft Intune, ensure the following criteria are met:

  • Access to Microsoft Intune: Ensure you have admin privileges to manage devices and applications in the Microsoft Intune portal.
  • macOS PKG File: Download the flat package from Packages section in the Adobe Admin Console. Download the package either from Pre-generated packages section (Single applications or Templates) or directly from the Get started workflow.
Please make sure the package size isn't more than 8GB as Microsoft Intunes does not support pkg greater than 8GB.
  • Managed macOS Devices: Enroll macOS devices in Microsoft Intune as described in the Microsoft document.
  • Microsoft Intune Company Portal: Verify that the Microsoft Intune Company Portal app is installed on target devices.

For more, read the Intune app prerequisites.

    • Required: Automatically deploy the app to assigned devices.
  7. Review + Create: Review the app configuration and select Create to save.

After saving, Microsoft Intunes uploads your package and sends you a notification. You can view your package after some time under Apps > macOS.

Monitor deployment

  1. Go to Microsoft Intune admin center. Navigate to Apps > macOS.

  2. Select the deployed app to view its status.

  3. Under the Monitor section, review the Device install status and User install status tabs for deployment insights.

  4. Troubleshoot any deployment issues:

    • Device not compliant: Ensure the device meets prerequisites.
    • App installation failure: Review Microsoft Intune logs and macOS Console logs for errors.
Note:

The time taken to deploy your package depends on the size of the output Microsoft Intune file and the internet connection both at your end and the machines where this package is being deployed.
