Learn about new features and enhancements in the May 2024 release of Dreamweaver (version 21.4).
Dreamweaver is now integrated with the latest third-party library upgrade, provides offline import and export of sync settings, includes bug fixes, and addresses security vulnerabilities.
- Third-party library upgrade: Node version is upgraded to 20.9 for Linting, CSS preprocessors, Real-time preview, Bootstrap customizations, and code view-related workflows.
- Offline import and export of settings: With the Sync Settings feature being discontinued, the functionality of offline import and export of settings has been provided for storing and transferring the settings between machines.
- Fixes for Security vulnerabilities: Provides fixes for insufficient validation of untrusted input that allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page CVE-2021-21220 (Chromium Embedded Framework) and malicious Git local configuration file leading to Arbitrary Code Execution upon importing Site Definition(.ste) file.
