This article lists the system requirements for September 2022 release and Summer 2020 release of RoboHelp.

RoboHelp (September 2022 release)

Windows

  • Intel Core i5 or faster processor (recommended)
  • Microsoft Windows® 11 (64 bit), Microsoft Windows® 10 (64 bit) version 1903 or later.
  • 4 GB of RAM or more is recommended
  • 3 GB of hard-disk space is required for installation; additional space is required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices) 
  • 64-bit CPU and operating system 

This software will not operate without activation. Broadband Internet connection and registration are required for software activation, validation of subscriptions, and access to Online Services. 

Phone activation is not available.

macOS

  • Intel Core i5 or faster processor (recommended)
  • macOS v14 (Sonoma) , macOS v13 (Ventura), macOS v12 (Monterey), macOS v11 (Big Sur) or macOS v10.15 (Catalina)
  • 4 GB of RAM or more is recommended
  • 3 GB of hard-disk space is required for installation; additional space is required during installation
  • Safari 10.0 or higher 
  • 64-bit CPU and operating system

  • Java Runtime Environment 8 or later (64-bit) / OpenJDK 8 or later (PDF Generation)
  • Microsoft Visual Studio/ Team Explorer 2015 or later (Azure Dev Ops connections)
  • Git for Windows/Mac (Git connections)
Note:
  • If the JAVA_HOME environment variable is not set, you will need to set the variable to point to your Java installation directory. This environment variable is needed to run this program.
  • JAVA_HOME environment variable can also be added from RoboHelp application. In application, go to Prefrences> Tools> Java Home Path.

Note:

Update 7 of RoboHelp Summer 2020 release is compatible with Microsoft® Windows 11 and 10. Update 6 and earlier releases of RoboHelp Summer 2020 release are compatible with Microsoft® Windows 10 only.
