Overview

Adobe Connect 12.6.1 is a minor release introducing improvements to existing features, greater accessibility, and fixes to known issues.
Release dates
Adobe Connect 12.6.1 will roll out in the following phases:
Hosted services:
Upgrades will begin on Jun 4, 2024. See Adobe Connect Downloads and Updates to determine the upgrade date for your account.
On-premise deployments:
A patch for 12.6.1 will not be available for on-prem installations.
Managed services:
Contact your Adobe Connect Managed Services (ACMS) representative, or private cloud provider, to schedule an upgrade.
What's new in Adobe Connect 12.6.1
Enhancements to Closed Captions
- Closed captions will be scrollable again. Based on customer feedback, the change introduced in 12.6 to disable caption scrolling has been reverted.
- Attendees will be able to view captions only from the time they join a room and select Show captions. They will not be able to scroll and view captions made before their joining time. This will also apply to breakout rooms, and attendees will be able to view captions only from the time they join the breakout room and select Show captions.
- A new compliance and control setting will allow admins to control the visibility of the Transcript Viewer for recordings. The setting Enable transcript viewer for recordings can be found under Admin > Compliance and Control > Recordings, Closed Captions and Notice > Recordings.
- When Enable transcript viewer for recordings is checked, the Transcript Viewer will be available for all transcribed recordings. The Transcript Viewer for individual recordings can be disabled by visiting the 'Edit Information' page for the recording and unchecking Show transcript viewer (Beta).
- Hosts can export the transcripts in VTT format by selecting Actions -> Export Transcript on the Recording Information page of the recording.
