Adobe Connect is about to get faster, smarter, and younger with the upcoming Adobe Connect 12 upgrade, scheduled for Spring, 2022.
With this new upgrade, Adobe Connect’s legacy, the Flash-based Classic View will reach its end-of-life. Customers will no longer be able to host or join Adobe Connect sessions using the Classic View.
If you haven’t transitioned your Flash-based content and rooms to the HTML-based Standard View, then now would be the right time , ahead of Adobe Connect 12 release.

Adobe Connect 11.3 is a major release providing a new meeting application, new features, improvements to key features, and greater accessibility.

Adobe Connect 11.3 rolls out in the following phases:
Hosted services:
Upgrades will begin on Sep 10, 2021. See Adobe Connect Downloads and Updates to determine the upgrade date for your account.
On-premise deployments:
Will be available from Sep 26, 2021.
Managed services:
Contact your Adobe Connect Managed Services (ACMS) representative, or private cloud provider, to schedule an upgrade.
What's New in Adobe Connect 11.3
Greater Accessibility - Improvements to Closed Captioning
New Closed Caption providers (1CapApp, Ai-Live, and VITAC) are now built-in, persistent provider tokens can be created, and we've improved the provider integration workflow. For more information, see Closed Captioning in HTML client.
Focus on Accessibility - Chat and Polls
Chat and Poll pods have had significant updates to better support screen readers, numerous UI elements have been fixed, and keyboard navigation has been enhanced.
Offline recordings - Now available in Standard view
In Adobe Connect Classic View, you could convert and download an Adobe Connect session recording offline, in MP4 or FLV format. The conversion happens using the Adobe Connect application for desktop. In Adobe Connect 11.3, you can convert a meeting into MP4, and download recordings in the Standard view. For more information, see Offline recording in Standard view.

Adobe Connect application
This update includes new version of the Adobe Connect application for both Windows and Mac.
You will be prompted to install and run the new Adobe Connect application in the following situations:
- You attempt to login to a meeting using a previous version of the Adobe Connect meeting application.
- You attempt to share your screen from a browser.
- You select “Switch to desktop application” from the meeting context menu.
The 'lightning installer' workflow, which installed the application directly from within the meeting, required the Flash Player and is not available since Adobe Connect 11.
If you are an administrator, ensure that end users have the latest Adobe Connect application. Download the latest stand-alone or MSI installers for the Adobe Connect application from this page, or install directly from the following URLs:
Upgrade paths for on-premise deployments
Here are the prerequisites for this release:
- From Adobe Connect 8.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 9.x
- From Adobe Connect 9.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.3
- From Adobe Connect 10.x, upgrade to Adobe Connect 11.3
