Where are Beta apps installed?

Beta builds are installed in their own folder—for example, Photoshop (Beta)—separate from the release versions of the app. This lets you evaluate Beta builds without affecting your work with the release versions. Beta apps have separate preferences and default user documents folders that won't change the user settings in your existing installation.

What Beta app usage information does Adobe collect, and what are my choices?

To personalize your experience and improve our products, Adobe may collect the following information:

  • System information (devices, operating system, amount of memory installed, and screen resolution).
  • Adobe product information (version number).
  • Information about your documents (only the number of pages and unique document identifiers and not the content in your documents).
  • Document usage information, such as how many times you open a document.
  • How you interact with the Adobe apps and how the Adobe apps interact with your content, including the features you use and the options you select.

Your regular app settings don't apply to Beta apps. If you don't want to share information about your Beta app usage with Adobe, you can continue using our release versions of the app.
