Can't see user library files in macOS

Learn how to access content in the user Library folder in macOS using one of these methods. 

Method 1

Launch Finder and select Go. In the expanded menu, select Library to view the user library files.

Tip:

After you open the Library folder, you can drag the Library icon from the top of that window to the Dock, sidebar, or toolbar to make it readily accessible.

Method 2

  1. In Finder, choose Go > Go to Folder.

  2. In the Go To Folder dialog box, type ~/Library

  3. Press Return. The Library folder opens, showing all user library files.
