Introducing Substance 3D Viewer (beta), a desktop app that lets you open, view, and design with 3D objects. It works with the Photoshop(beta) app, enabling you to seamlessly add 3D models to your 2D Photoshop designs as editable Smart Objects, unlocking new creative possibilities for digital artists.
What is Substance 3D Viewer (beta)?
Substance 3D Viewer (beta) is available for free as a public beta desktop app that unlocks 3D capabilities for Adobe Creative Cloud users. Created for graphic designers, it simplifies 3D workflows by allowing you to open, view, and work with 3D models by adjusting the camera angle, changing the lighting, and even editing the materials.
To use it with the Photoshop (beta) app, simply drag-and-drop a 3D model into your Photoshop canvas to open and view it as a new Smart Object in your Photoshop design. From there, you can iterate on the position, size, and light of your 3D model in the Substance 3D Viewer (beta) app and send the updates back to your Photoshop (beta) app design.
