Mesh sampler
In: Substance Model graph/Extraction
Intermediate
Description
The Mesh sampler node outputs a Scene containing a point cloud of pseudo-random positions on the surface of all meshes in the input Scene.
Parameters
- Assets Scene
Scene containing the sampled meshes - Sampling method Integer
Distribution method of generated points:- White noise: use a white noise pattern for breaking up alignments in the distribution
- Blue noise: use a blue noise pattern for breaking up alignments in the distribution
- Geometry features: places points on the geometry features specified in the Scattered positions parameter section
- Sample amount Integer
Number of generated points - Quality Integer
The quality of the blue noise used for sampling. A higher quality results in finer sampling and more evenly spaced distribution, at the cost of some performance
Note: This parameter is only available when the Sampling method parameter is set to Blue noise - Primitive type Integer
Arrangement method of generated points - Random number generator seed Integer
Random seed value used in the pseudo-random distribution - Scattered positions
Note: This section is only available when the Sampling method parameter is set to Geometry features- On faces center Boolean
Places a point on the center of each face for every mesh Element in the Scene - On edge center Boolean
Places a point on the center of each edge for every mesh Element in the Scene - On vertices Boolean
Places a point on the center of each vertex for every mesh Element in the Scene
- On faces center Boolean
