Photoshop Camera is discontinued on iOS and Android devices and is no longer available for download. Adobe ended official support for existing users starting on May 1, 2024. If you're a current user of Photoshop Camera, you can continue to use the app if it's already installed on your device until June 4, 2024. The Photoshop Camera lenses you love have been migrated to Photoshop Express.

Adobe Photoshop Camera is an intelligent camera app that lets you add a lens effect in real-time and capture just the perfect shot, wherever you go. Also, you can effortlessly select photos from your device's camera roll/albums, or import photos from Lightroom.

To directly capture photos with Photoshop Camera, do the following:

  1. Launch the app to enter the viewfinder mode. By default, the in-app camera opens front-facing. 
  2. Double tap anywhere in the viewfinder mode or tap  to flip the camera.
  3. Tap the lens icon () to browse through the list downloaded lens effects. Tap a lens from the carousel to apply.
  4. While in the capture mode, the app displays:
    1. 'Find a Face' message in the viewfinder until a face is detected in the moment of capture for portrait shots.
    2. 'Find a Sky' message in the viewfinder until a sky is detected in the moment of capture for sky shots.
  5. (Optional) Tap the three-dots () icon at the top centre in the viewfinder mode — Aspect ratio, Timer, Flash, and App Settings.
  6. (Optional) Tap anywhere in the viewfinder mode to focus and bring up the exposure slider. Move the sun icon vertically on the slider to adjust exposure.
  7. Once you are happy with your settings and lens effects, tap the shutter icon to take the photo. Tap the cancel () icon to exit the applied lens.
  8. Tap the Photo Preview icon and find your photo under PsC Studio. The PsC Studio acts as a temporary workspace used to edit lens effects and share your photos.

You can tap a photo thumbnail to open it in the refine mode and play around with more lens effects.

Note:

Photoshop Camera on Android devices also has the ability to open and edit an image from other applications.

Import photos

To import photos into Photoshop Camera, do the following:

  1. Launch the app to open viewfinder.
  2. Tap the photo preview icon.
  3. In the All Photos gallery that opens, tap to select:
    1. PsC Studio: Photo Preview leads to PsC Studio by default. All photos you capture in-app or apply lens effects to are stored in the PsC Studio. Tap to select multiple photos to delete in PsC Studio. Tap  at the bottom of the multi-select mode to delete selected photos. Tap  to exit the multi-select mode. 
    2. Camera Roll (iOS)/Albums (Android): Access all photos stored on your devices camera roll.
    3. Lightroom Photos: Tap  to select and import a photo from Lightroom.

The selected photo opens in the refine screen where you can browse and apply unique lens effects.

Supported file types for import

Photoshop Camera supports JPEG, HEIC, PNG, still GIF and has limited support for raw files CR2, DNG, NEF, ARW, TIFF.
