LiveCycle ES2 Quick Fixes

The following quick fixes (QFs) are available for Adobe LiveCycle ES2 (9.0.0.0). Contact support for more information or to obtain a QF.

Assembler

  • (QF0.2 - Jan 2010) - Addresses an issue where a PDF Portfolio cannot be made from an encrypted PDF via the LiveCycle Assembler service. An error occurs during DDX execution. (Ref # 2444972)
  • (QF0.44 - May 2010) - Addresses an issue when converting a Microsoft Word document created using OpenOffice but saved as a Word document produces an exception. (Ref # 2613613)
  • (QF0.53 - Jun 2010) - Addresses an issue where attachments don't open when you import an XFDF file to PDF. The issue occurs when you use the Assembler service from within LiveCycle Workbench or Assembler IVS. (Ref # 2603885)
  • (QF0.97 - Jun 2011) - Addresses the issue of performance degradation in the production environment when debugging code in Handle.initiCallAudito. (Ref # 2883026)
  • (QF0.99 - Jun 2011) - Addresses the following issues:
    • Validation messages for a form are displayed even when the form validation setting is specified as "Don't show any message boxes at all." (Ref. #2871918)
    • Interactive controls, such as buttons, are flattened as static images while combining multiple interactive forms into a single form. After applying this Quick Fix, such interactive controls are removed from the flattened PDF resulting after combining the forms. (Ref. # 2854060)

Content Services

  • (QF0.12 - Jul 2010) - Addresses an issue where assets within the LiveCycle ES2 Content Services store can't be referenced via a generated URL containing a machine IP. This issue occurs in the LiveCycle Developer Express Environment. (Ref # 2527834)
  • (QF0.19 - Feb 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when renaming a group that is currently used in managing space users in LiveCycle Contentspace ES2. This action produces an error indicating that group not found. (Ref # 2552451) 

Output

  • (QF0.25 - Mar 2010) - Addresses an issue with LiveCycle Output ES2.and the return values when using WSDLs. After you install the quick fix on LiveCycle ES 9.0.0.0, append the WSDL URL with lc_version=9.0.0.1 to see the minOccures=0 in the WSDL. (Ref # 2576237, 2578162)
  • (QF0.33 - Jun 2010) - Addresses an issue where generatePDFOutput in LiveCycle ES2 causes an error when xml data is passed to it. The following error is generated when executing: 2010-03-23 16:09:08,776 ERROR [STDERR] Caused by: com.adobe.livecycle.formsservice.exception.RenderFormException: ALC-FRM-001-035: Failed to load TemplateStream for FormQuery= from location URI.   • (QF0.101 - Jul 2011) - Addresses an issue where XFA forms did not support bookmarks. (Ref # 2916446)
  • (QF0.102 - Sept 2011) - Addresses the issue of the production server throwing an exception when processing XML files that are greater than 10 MB in size. (Ref # 2865872)
  • (QF0.103 - Oct 2011) - Addresses the issue where the duplication of entries in the Output cache results in performance degradation, eventually causing the system to stop responding. The Output cache is unable to reuse the entry for a form when there is a case mismatch between the new and existing content root. (Ref # 2988068)
  • (QF0.105 - Oct 2012) - Addresses an issue where, the output service crashes, while rendering certain XDP forms and an error, terminated abnormally with error code {3}, is logged. (Ref #  3101681)

PDF Generator

  • (QF0.15 - Feb 2010) - Addresses an issue where changing the orientation to Landscape in the Page Conversion settings produces unexpected results. This issue occurs when you use LiveCycle PDF Generator to convert HTML files to PDF. (Ref # 2502915)
  • (QF0.26 - Apr 2010) - Addresses an issue where LiveCycle PDF Generator fails during conversion to PDF from native file types during multiuser conversions. (Ref # 2500496)
  • (QF0.27 - Mar 2010) - Addresses an issue where LiveCycle PDF Generator ES2 times out when you convert an OCR document. (Ref # 2573233)
  • (QF0.35 - Apr 2010) - Addresses an issue where LiveCycle PDF Generator ES2 doesn't provide a method of changing the email "Sent From" address. This quick fix includes a Config Modifier App that allows you to change the address. (Ref # 2606623)
  • (QF0.41 - May 2010) - Addresses an issue where conversions from Corel WordPerfect X4 to PDF using LiveCycle PDF Generator ES2 aren't as expected. (Ref # 2588574)
  • (QF0.107 - Oct 2012) - Addresses an issue where, for the files that require more than 600 seconds to process, the generatePDFOutput service fails to render the file and an error FileNotFoundException is logged. (Ref # 3349356)
  • (QF0.100 - July 2011) - Addresses the issue of incorrect page size when converting files from Microsoft Excel to PDF. (Ref # 2880135)

Rights Management

  • (QF0.18 - Feb 2010) - Addresses two issues:
    • unable to log in to LiveCycle Rights Management using Adobe Acrobat if the password contains "&" character
    • unable to access LiveCycle Rights Management from Adobe Acrobat 9.3 (Ref # 2539864)
  • (QF1012-2.212 - Sep 2013) - The user is unable to access Rights Management protected PDF for a certain time-period of the day. (Ref# 3617206)

Workbench

  • (QF0.8 - Dec 2009) - Addresses an issue where the Forms Data Integration service throws a ClassDefNotFoundException about com.adobe.formServer.utils.LogUtils. (Ref # 2504275)
  • (QF0.11 - May 2010) - Addresses an issue with loading a password-protected WSDL in LiveCycle Workbench ES2. The following exception was provided: java.net.ProtocolException: Server redirected too many times (20). (Ref # 2466491)

Process Management

  • (QF0.10 - Jan 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when yo use the search template in LiveCycle Workspace ES2. The Task Start Date and the Task Completed Date as don't display as expected when you use the Japanese locale in the browser. (Ref # 2503203)
  • (QF0.17 - Feb 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurred after upgrading from LiveCycle ES (8.2.1) to LiveCycle ES2 (9.0). After the upgrade and the first synchronization complete, all LDAP users are marked as "obsolete" and you cannot sign into LiveCycle Workspace ES. (Ref # 2521031) 
  • (QF0.45 - May 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when you delete all attachment files attached by initiator. The “assign task” activity to next user stalls. (Ref # 2607231)
  • (QF0.52 - May 2010) - Addresses the following issues:
    • In LiveCycle Workspace ES2 where attachments with some specific Japanese characters in filename do not open as expected. This issue occurs in the Japanese version of Microsoft Windows 2000 with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1.
    • An improved error message in LiveCycle Workspace ES2 to inform User "A" that there is an error while submitting the form. The error occurs because User "B" claimed the task (while User "A" had the task opened but unlocked) from a shared queue. User B submitted the form. (Ref # 2603996)
  • (QF0.65 - Jul 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when you start LiveCycle Workspace ES with additional URL parameters to call a process with double-byte characters in the endpoint name. This issue occurs when you have your locale set to Japanese. LiveCycle Workspace ES doesn't resolve the name since the uri-encoded parameter values are changed in the security filter.   • (QF0.94 - Mar 2011) - Addresses the issue where the user is incorrectly prompted to reinstall Adobe Reader if the Adobe Reader Preferences are not set to display PDF files in a browser. (Ref # 2757175)
  • (QF0.96 - Jun 2011) - Addresses an issue where a numeric data type conversion causes loss in precision, and results in errors (for example, transactions are interrupted or transaction data errors occur). (Ref # 2818569)
  • (QF0.98 - June 2011) - This quick fix addresses an issue where task searches in LiveCycle Administration Console for users having the same first name and family name did not return intended results. (Ref # 2873263)

Foundation

  • (QF0.5 - Dec 2009) - Addresses an issue where the value for tb_work_monitor schema exceeds the limit and produces a SQL exception. (Ref # 2482824)
  • (QF0.30 - Mar 2010) - Addresses an issue purging the process using process purge utility when the value in tb_form_data is greater than 999. (Ref # 2573036)
  • (QF0.42- May 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when a user deletes all attachment files attached by initiator. The “assign task” activity to next user stalls. (Ref # 2607231)
  • (QF0.50 - May 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when contacting an arbitrary web service from a LiveCycle workflow and the web service requires authentication. In this case, LiveCycle writes the credentials used for authentication against this other server in plain text in the log file. (Ref # 2606448)
  • (QF0.76 - Sept 2010) - Addresses an issue where deploying an application with many processes fails. (Ref # 2714955)
  • (QF0.78 - Sept 2010) - Addresses slow response times for the first request to every unique end point within an application after starting the Application Server. (Ref # 2706347)  

LiveCycle Core

  • (QF0.93 - Dec 2011) - This quick fix addresses an issue where modifying a local domain group name and saving the change does not save the new name. (Ref # 2793275)
  • (QF0.3 - Dec 2009) - Provides a method to automate the configuration of LiveCycle ES2 preferences on a node-by-node basis. (Ref # 2483610)

Signature

  • (QF0.32 - Jun 2010) - Addresses an issue when LiveCycle is configured to work with HSM, communication with timestamp causes an error. (Ref # 2594507)

Forms

  • (QF0.63 - Aug 2010) - Addresses an issue that occurs when you use the Form Data Integration service. When you use the exportData operation and then importData to import the same data exported, the PDF size increases more than expected. (Ref # 2660679)
  • (QF0.71 - Aug 2010) - Addresses an issue where the CPU usage remains at > 95 % when formDataIntegration.importData() method is used on a PDF when the PDF has the font size set to 0 points on some fields and has been Reader Extended. (Ref # 2663187)
