Filter by Exported Images

Starting with the May 2024 release of the Lightroom Classic version (13.3), you can now filter your images based on whether they are exported or not exported.

You can use the filter in one of the following ways.

Filter by Export Status

Filter the images by selecting Library > Attribute; in the library filter panel, you can now select the exported images icon or the non-exported images icon to filter the catalog based on the exported file status. An export status icon on the filmstrip also denotes the selected filter option.

Filter by using Metadata options

Select Library > Metadata and select Exported Files from the drop-down menu in any section.  The section will now allow you to filter images based on

  • Exported Files 
  • Not Exported Files

Tip:

You can check the last exported date in the image's metadata panel. To enable this option, select the image and then select Customise in the Metadata section of the image. In the pop-up, select the Last Exported Date option under Basic Info.

Filter by editing a Smart Collection

  1. Select Library > Collections > Smart Collection, then select a collection you want to edit.

  2. Right-click on the collection and select Edit Smart Collection.

  3. In the drop-down menu, select Exported. You can filter down the results further by selecting the timeline of exported images.

  4. Select Save to filter the collection.

  1. Select Library > Collections > (+) icon > Create Smart Collection.

  2. Under the rules section, select Exported and choose the timeline.

  3. Select Create to form a Smart Collection containing images that have been exported based on the selected timeline. To learn more, check out how to work with photo collections.

Note:

To reset the image's export status, select one or more images, folders, or Collections and select Reset Export Status in the right-click menu. The above action is undoable.
