Previewing a form using Forms Manager

Preview options

Forms Manager lets you preview the forms in the repository. This way, you know exactly how the forms look and behave when they are released to the end users.

You can preview a form as a:

  • PDF form.
  • HTML form (PDF forms and Print forms cannot be reviewed as HTML).
  • PDF or HTML form, using custom sample data. Custom preview is not supported for Acro Form but XFA (PDF/XDP) forms are supported.

Preview an XFA form as PDF

  1. Log in to the Forms Manager user interface at http://[server]:[port]/lc/fm.

  2. Search for and select the desired form in Forms Manager.

  3. Click the Preview icon.

  4. Click Preview As PDF.

While rendering as PDF, Forms Manager Preview option uses:

  • Submit URL, if it is configured with the form.
  • PDF render profile, if it is configured with the form.
