Feature
Adobe Sign Release Notes: 2017
When using the new Send experience, senders will now see a picklist of email address suggestions based on the email address being entered. The list is derived from the Agreements loaded into the Manage tab of the sender’s account when they first log into the application.
With predictive email addresses installed, the new Send and Authoring experiences are complete, and will be promoted to the application wide standard in the Spring 17 release.
To enable the new Send experience for your account, navigate to Account > Account Settings > Send Settings > New Send experience
To enable the new Authoring experience, navigate to: Account > Account Settings > Send Settings > New Preview and Authoring Experience
If you have any questions or concerns about moving to the new Send experience, please contact your CSM.

Discover new ways to automate business processes with powerful new options that address more use cases across your organization.
Take precise control of your document workflows by leveraging the new Recipient roles. This update is inserting three new roles: Acceptor, Certified Recipient and Form Filler (each with an accompanying Delegator role)
Go beyond fill-and-sign workflows. Let participants click to approve or accept, fill a form without signing, or delegate an action to someone else. Setup options also include the addition of cc recipients.
Let participants add a visible image to a document or form, such as a profile picture or driver's license. Form authors can easily add re-sizable image placeholders on their documents. Signers upload an image and have it dynamically size in place. Inline images can be extracted separately to support business processes that need to collect images.
Speed up document preparation. When enabled, the Authoring environment automatically recognizes and adds form fields to documents. Authors can accept or change the fields, and assign recipients if desired.
Usability enhancements in authoring
The Authoring environment is being polished to improve the understanding of fields as they relate to Recipients, and allow changing field types (Signature, Date, Title, etc.) within the field properties.
Meet the toughest identity verification and compliance requirements. Get the flexibility and control you need to build signature and approval processes that meet exacting standards.
Offer an easy-to-use, high-assurance signing experience on web and mobile with open, standards-based digital IDs that comply with the most demanding regulations. Signers select their certificate-based IDs entirely within the native signing interface.
Comply with business processes that require business stamps, such as a 'received' stamp, a company seal, or a Hanko stamp in Japan. The new Stamp field is an alternate Signature field. You can use it in addition to, or instead of a regular signature. Recipients simply upload an image once during signing, and the image replicates automatically across all the Stamp fields in the document.
Get the accuracy and auditability of electronic signing with handwritten signatures. Let signers fill, print, sign, scan, and return documents without a fax machine. Everything is captured and managed electronically, so you’ll get legible text plus signer verification data in the audit trail.
Forced review is an extension of the Explicit Consent feature that ensures knowledgeable consent on the part of the recipient by requiring them to open the Terms of Use and Customer Disclosure content before they can move on to the Signing portion of the process.
Adobe Sign natively includes guided navigation for signers, moving between and pointing out fields that need to be completed. However, if you would prefer to not have that guided experience, you will be allowed to suppress it.
Deliver exceptional, cross-device experiences for customers and employees. Let them shift effortlessly between desktop, tablets, and smartphones to keep business moving from anywhere.
When signing a document on your desktop computer, send a request to your mobile device where you can use a stylus (or your finger) to get a clean signature image and add it to your agreement with one tap.
Modern experience default
The classic experience is being retired with the May release. Users across all plans will see the newer experience across Adobe Sign –including Send and Author – by default.
A new dynamic UI has been applied to the Create Template page, allowing users to create templates more easily on different devices and various screen sizes.
Only I Sign is being replaced with a new tool named: Fill & Sign. The new design includes a reflowable structure to better support a wider array of devices and screen sizes. New functionality includes the ability to upload and fill in form data, send a copy of the document to another party, and report on the inserted field content.
API/Integration customers that embed the Send page as part of the application will have the new Send page delivered instead of the Classic page. Many of the new features exposed in recent releases are dependent on the new Send page architecture, so upgrading the page that is delivered via API opens the new functionality to existing API customers.
Extend your company’s brand with full HTML control over the content and layout of the “Please Sign” and “Signed and Filed” emails, including banner images, custom messages, and other visual treatments. Professional Service fees may apply.
Adobe Sign Mobile App
Let team members do more with their mobile devices. Make tasks faster—and life simpler—with groundbreaking new options in the Adobe Sign mobile app.
Go from paper to e-signed—in record time. Quickly turn any paper document into a PDF, then send for fast e-signing.
Easily read the fine print before signing by reflowing the text with a single tap on Reading Mode. Zoom in or out to change text size
Track and manage document progress wherever you are. New, improved UI delivers better visibility into agreement status and lets users quickly send reminders, if needed.
Track and manage critical information without opening the Adobe Sign mobile app. Add the widget to your home screen to get instant visibility into agreement status or send a request for a new document to be signed.

Enhance Compliance
Comply with the highest level requirements of the EU eIDAS regulation with Adobe's qualified time stamp solution that is certified on the EU Trusted Lists (EUTL). Adobe Sign in Europe now adds qualified time stamps to documents signed with digital signatures, ensuring long-term validity (LTV) for up to ten years.
Meet long-term document preservation requirements anywhere in the world. Adobe Sign can be configured to work with other time stamp providers by request. Provider subject to Adobe approval.
Authenticate signers with high assurance. Now, you can choose from three different digital ID providers: InfoCert, Intesi Group, and Trans Sped. We're also welcoming a new partner in Japan, Seiko.
New data center in India (IN1)
Comply with the strict electronic signature law in India. New Adobe Sign account holders in India can let people sign securely with their government-issued Aadhaar identity number. No enrollment or downloads required.
Deliver better user experiences
Author forms quickly and flawlessly. Now, form and signature fields assigned to each recipient are assigned a unique color so you can check the accuracy of your layout at-a-glance.
Prepare documents and forms faster. Now available for Business and Enterprise plans in all data centers except NA1. Adobe Sign automatically recognizes likely form fields so you can easily add them to your document, and finish the job in just a few steps.
Choose from six different form field fonts for a better match to your document layout when creating or editing text-based form fields in the authoring experience. Now including three new fonts: Roboto, Lato, Slabo13Px.
Save time when the wrong person was specified. Senders can now choose to add a new recipient while keeping the original, or completely replace with a new recipient.
Changes of Note
Mutual SSL support for agreement notifications
Improve privacy protection for financial service and other critical transactions communicated through notifications. Encrypt transactions with your organization's private key instead of an Adobe-managed key.
As announced in May, the classic Send page has been retired, and the move to the new Send page has become the standard for all accounts.
With the new Send page established as the standard, the Written workflow officially replaces Fax as the method to obtain a physical signature for all accounts.
