Download and install your Adobe app

Learn how to install the latest release of Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe RoboHelp after downloading it from Adobe.com and also find resources to troubleshoot error codes.

Download and install for Windows

  1. Download your product from Adobe.com.

  2. Open the installer file that you downloaded from the Adobe website.

  3. Navigate to Set-up.exe inside the product folder.

  4. Double-click Set-up.exe to run it.

  5. Once the installer window opens, sign in with your Adobe ID and password if you are not already signed in.

  6. Follow the installation prompts until the installation is complete.

Download and install for macOS

  1. Download your product from Adobe.com.

  2. Open the installer file that you downloaded from the Adobe website.

  3. Navigate to Set-up.dmg inside the product folder.
  4. Double-click Set-up.dmg file. The .dmg file mounts in two places: on your desktop and in the Finder sidebar under your hard drive. Clicking either one of these opens the .dmg file.

  5. Navigate to the Adobe RoboHelp folder using the file browser and select Install.app file inside the folder.

  6. To install the Install.app file, drag it into your Applications folder, and launch it.

  7. Once the installer window opens, sign in with your Adobe ID and password if you're not already signed in.

  8. Follow the installation prompts until the installation is complete.

Install from DVD (2019 and earlier releases)

Note:

Installation from DVD is supported only for 2019 and earlier releases of FrameMaker and RoboHelp. The latest release is available only through Adobe.com via subscription.

  1. Insert the product DVD into your DVD drive.

  2. Navigate to Set-up.exe inside the product folder.

  3. Double-click Set-up.exe to run it.

  4. Once the installer window opens, sign in with your Adobe ID and password if you are not already signed in.

  5. Follow the installation prompts until the installation is complete.
