Adobe’s Creative Cloud for enterprise, Individual, or Single App Terms of Use permit the deployment of its Apps in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure on cloud environments in an AS-IS model with no support of guarantee software performance or stability.

Best practices for Creative Cloud deployment on VDI

Adobe has collaborated with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Teradici, and NVIDIA to provide best practices for Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise customers who deploy on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (“VDI”) on remote cloud environments.
Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects, including Adobe Media Encoder and After Effects Render Engine are constantly being tested by Adobe in cooperation with each cloud vendor, enabling technology partners, third-party plug-in developers, and hardware peripheral providers. These Best Practices Guides will be regularly updated as VDI technology advances.

VDI provides scaling options to increase flexibility for businesses to scale workforce, increase cross-team collaboration, improve security options, add operational controls, maintain business continuity and disaster recovery and reduces your carbon footprint. 

These best practices guides, detail recommended deployment models for running video production workloads on your virtual machines using VDI. The guides focus on high-performance creative workflows that require more GPU, CPU, Memory, storage space, and storage IO bandwidth than typical virtual environments, and typically have additional complexity considerations to deploy at scale.

These guides focus on three primary video post-production scenarios, but these scenarios can be adapted for different enterprise use cases:

• Full creative workflows for video production
• News gathering & simple edits
• Promo graphics 

The detailed deployment methodologies, virtual machine sizing, storage, and hardware device compatibility issues and if followed can provide agility and scalability in scenarios supported by each cloud vendor and Adobe are included.
