How to use Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics

Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics is a utility for Premiere Pro that helps check your system and app configuration for any issues (such as GPU Driver incompatibility) and recommends steps to resolve those issues.

What is Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics?

Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics can help you check your GPU driver's compatibility for Premiere Pro and provide troubleshooting recommendations.

If you are unable to open Premiere Pro, or if the app crashes, freezes, or becomes unresponsive, you can run the utility by downloading it directly from this page. Ensure that you don't run the Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics executable file from the path given below. Doing so will result in an error:

  • macOS: /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Creative Cloud/Diagnostics
  • Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\Diagnostics
Note:

Avoid deleting the executable file for Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics from the Adobe Creative Cloud folder. This folder is available to make a provision for the integration of Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics with Creative Cloud apps in the near future.

How can I use Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics?

  1. Download Adobe Creative Cloud Diagnostics for your operating system.

  2. Double-click the executable file to run it.  

  3. Once the system check is complete, the utility shows you the recommendations. For example, it may recommend you to upgrade your driver if your GPU driver isn't compatible.

    Note that there might be some recommendations for RAM compatibility and preferences reset as well. 

    If there are no issues, you see the following screen:
