Error message when importing a PPT

Issue

On macOS Catalina 10.15, When you import a PPT into a Captivate project, you can see an error message, shown below. Upon closing the error message, it shows a greyed out dialog box for importing slides and does not display the slides. The dialog box becomes unresponsive and you must hit the Escape key to terminate the dialog box.

Solution

Install the latest version of Java. For more information, see Java downloads.

After installing Java, restart the computer, and relaunch Captivate.
