Learn about Content Credentials in Adobe Camera Raw

Learn how Content Credentials can help you promote content authenticity and transparency in content creation.

With the May 2024 release of Adobe Camera Raw (version 16.3), you can secure your content with Content Credentials when you export your photo.

Content Credentials (Early Access) in Adobe Camera Raw

While Content Credentials (Early Access) must be turned on for each document in Photoshop to record edits and activities, Camera Raw already records this information in a way that Content Credentials can reference when you export your files.

  1. After editing a photo using Camera Raw controls, select   to open the Save Options dialog box.

  2. Select the Apply Content Credentials option, which is currently available as Early Access in the Content Credentials section.

    Note:

The Content Credentials are currently supported only on JPEG files during Export. Select JPEG from the Format drop-down menu.

  3. Select the Storage method:

    • Publish to Content Credentials cloud - This lets you publish the information on a public Content Credentials cloud separate from the cloud file storage included in your Adobe plan. This option makes Content Credentials persistent and recoverable. It keeps files smaller but less private since Content Credentials published to the cloud may appear in results when people search for content that matches or closely resembles your own.
    • Attach to files - This makes their information more private but increases file sizes.
    • Attach and publish to cloud - This option lets you attach files directly and publish them to the Content Credentials cloud, providing the most storage security for your Content Credentials
  4. Select the Information to include:

    • Producer - The name listed on your Adobe account.
    • Connected accounts - Select your preferred social media account. You can connect your Behance, Instagram, or other social media accounts by clicking (Manage).
    • Edits and activity - The editing and processing actions taken to produce the final image.
  5. Select other fields in the Save Options dialog box and then select Save. Once the content credentials are uploaded, you can check them on Verify

Tip:

If the Content Credentials are missing after your content is published online, they can be recovered with Verify. In Verify, your published Content Credentials may appear as possible matches for content that is visually similar to your own.
