Join the Adobe Photoshop Improvement Program to help improve and develop Adobe software and services.
What's the purpose of this program?
The Adobe Photoshop Improvement Program is designed to help improve machine learning based features in Adobe Photoshop. Features like Object Selection, Select Subject, Select and Mask, and Content-Aware Fill can all be improved with a wide range of images to train our machine learning algorithms. Participation in this program is opt-in only and voluntary. By default, customers are not signed up to participate when they install Photoshop 21.2 (June 2020 release).
What information is collected?
When you choose to participate in the program, images you open in Photoshop and information related to those images (including but not limited to corresponding mask data and metadata) may be sent to Adobe servers.
Can I see the data that is collected before it is sent to Adobe?
No, the information is not viewable by users.
What are the participating products?
Adobe Photoshop version 21.2 and later on macOS and Windows 10.
How will Adobe use the information?
If you choose to participate, Adobe will:
- Collect image data that will be viewed by researchers.
- Access cloud documents that will be viewed by researchers.
- Collect information on how you use this software to identify trends and usage patterns.
Adobe will not use this data for any purpose other than to improve and develop Adobe software and services.
How is my privacy protected?

How do I participate in the program?
Participation in the program is voluntary. To join the program:
- Choose Edit (Windows) / Photoshop (macOS) > Preferences > Product Improvement.
- Select Yes, I'd like to participate in the Preferences dialog.
- Restart Photoshop for this change to take effect.
Note:
- Resetting your Photoshop preferences also resets the Yes, I'd like to participate option to its default deselected state. To continue participating in the program after resetting preferences, select Yes, I'd like to participate again in the Product Improvement preferences and restart Photoshop.
- Participating in the program doesn't ensure that images and data will be collected from the user. Nor does it ensure that all images and data will be collected from the user.
Can enterprise users participate in the program?
No, enterprise customers cannot participate in the Adobe Photoshop Improvement Program.
How do I leave the program?
If you joined the program and change your mind, you can leave at any time. To leave the program:
- Choose Edit (Windows) / Photoshop (macOS) > Preferences > Product Improvement.
- Deselect Yes, I'd like to participate in the Preferences dialog.
- Restart Photoshop for this change to take effect.
When you leave the program, Adobe no longer collects additional images and data. Your existing data is not deleted from Adobe servers.

Will I receive spam if I participate in the program?
You will not receive any email from Adobe regarding this program, regardless of whether you participate.
Do I need an Internet connection?
An Internet connection is required to participate in this program. However, you do not need to be connected all the time. When an Internet connection becomes available, the information is automatically transmitted with minimal impact to your connection.
How long does the program last?
Information is collected as long as you use the product for which you have agreed to participate or until you decide to stop participating in the program.
