Create a custom model with images of your brand's assets in a few simple steps.

Before you begin:

Determine what you want to train your model to do and collect your assets. Cropping images to prepare them for training allows the model to focus on important visual elements.

  1. On the Adobe Firefly homepage, select Custom models.

  2. On the Your models page, select Train a model and then give a name and description for the model.

  3. Select Training mode > Subject to train the model on an object or a character.

  4. For the Subject training mode, enter a keyword that represents your model's main subject in the Concept field.

  5. Use the Save to dropdown menu to create a new project for saving the custom model or choose an existing one.

The Create a custom model dialog box is open, and the Save to dropdown menu is available with the option to create a new project.
Saving custom models to a project keeps everything organized and simplifies managing both the models and access permissions.

  6. In the Model Properties section, provide a sample prompt that users can use as a starting point to generate images.

  7. Drag and drop at least 10-30 images to train the model. Explore best practices for training efficient Firefly custom models.

  8. Once the images are uploaded, they are auto-captioned. You can select the image to view it and edit the caption to accurately describe its content, including key elements and actions.

    Tip:
    • Custom models trained on Firefly Image 3 Model perform best with captions that are simplified and contain fewer than 15-18 words.
    • For subject models, ensure that the auto-caption contains the Concept
  9. Select Train, and Firefly will start the training. Once the training is complete, it will reflect on the Your models page with a Ready status.

Note:

On the Your models page of the Firefly website, all users within your organization entitled to train custom models can view the custom model you created. You can also share custom models with collaborators for training, review, and brand-consistent content creation
