Learn how to generate image variations matching the composition of a reference image.

Try it in the app
Create images from a text description in a few simple steps.

Composition refers to the structure of an image and how the visual elements and subjects are arranged within the frame. Outline and depth are two essential aspects that Adobe Firefly considers while matching the structure of a reference image.

  1. On the Adobe Firefly website, select Text to image.

  2. Enter a text prompt and select Generate.

  3. In the General settings section, select the Firefly Image Model you’d like to use.

  4. Expand the Composition option to view the available options.

  5. In the Reference section, select Upload image and browse for an image on your device.

The Composition section in the Text to Image control panel is open. There are options to either upload a composition reference image or browse the gallery to select one. The uploaded reference image will be used to generate image variations matching the composition.
Under the Composition section, upload an image or browse the gallery to upload a structure reference image.

    Note:

Adjust the Strength slider to control the adherence to the reference image.

  6. Select Generate to generate image variations that match the structure of the reference image.
