Minimum requirement

Processor
  • Intel® 6th Generation or newer CPU, or AMD Ryzen™ 1000 Series or newer CPU
  • Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2) support required
Note:

It is not possible to install the 24.x versions on Intel® 3rd Generation of processors or older (as well as older AMD processors).

Operating system

Windows 10 (64-bit) version 22H2 or later

RAM

8 GB of RAM (16 GB or more recommended)

Hard-disk space

3 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on removable flash storage devices)

Display

1280x1080 display (1920x1080 or larger recommended)

GPU

Latest qualified graphics driver for your GPU, with DirectX 12 support

Hardware requirement for recording
  • Webcam (for face and body tracking)
  • Microphone (for audio recording and lip sync)
  • Headphones (to prevent recorded audio takes from being re-recorded in subsequent takes)

  • Intel® 6th Generation or newer CPU (Apple silicon M1 or newer recommended)
  • Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (AVX2) support required
Note:

The 24.x versions will not install on Mac Pro 2013 or older systems.

Operating system

macOS Monterey (version 12) or later

Note:
  • Support for macOS Big Sur (version 11) is discontinued. Installing the 24.x versions of Character Animator on macOS Big Sur (version 11) or older is not possible.
  • The 24.x versions of Character Animator are not supported on Rosetta. Mac users can continue to use the 24.0 version on Apple silicon and Intel-based Mac.

RAM

8 GB of RAM (16 GB or more recommended)

Hard-disk space

4 GB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices)

Display

1440x900 display (1920x1080 or larger recommended)

GPU with Metal support
