Create Podcasts on Acrobat Reader mobile

Learn how to turn your documents into engaging audio podcasts.

The Generate podcast feature in Adobe Acrobat Reader on mobile allows you to transform PDF documents into engaging audio podcasts. With just a few taps, you can create personalized audio summaries of your documents, making it easier to consume content while multitasking, commuting, or relaxing. This feature is designed to save time, reduce screen fatigue, and enhance accessibility for most users.

Note

You can also turn PDF Spaces into podcasts. Open a PDF Space and select Podcast icon-dc-podcast.svg to generate a podcast. It plays in Highlights format with the transcript displayed. Use the playback controls or select Change format to switch formats. 

iOS

  1. Open Acrobat Reader on iOS and sign in to your Adobe account.

  2. Open the PDF you want to convert into a podcast.

  3. Select Podcast icon-dc-podcast.svg from the top menu and then choose a format: 

    • Highlights: For a focused summary 
    • Deep dive: For detailed exploration
  4. Select Generate.

  5. Listen to your podcast with controls for play, pause, playback speed, volume, and skipping through the audio. 

    Tap any part of the transcript to jump to and listen to that section of the podcast.

    Note

    You can stream the audio on an AirPlay-compatible smart TV by selecting the AirPlay icon from the bottom menu.

  6. To change the format of the podcast, select Change format.

  7. To delete or provide feedback on the generated podcast, select More options icon-dc-mobile-more-menu.svg and choose the appropriate option.

Android

  1. Open Acrobat Reader on Android and sign in to your Adobe account.

  2. Open the PDF you want to convert into a podcast.

  3. Select Podcast icon-dc-podcast.svg from the top menu and then choose a format: 

    • Highlights: For a focused summary 
    • Deep dive: For detailed exploration
  4. Select Generate.

  5. Listen to your podcast with controls for play, pause, playback speed, volume, and skipping through the audio. 

    Tap any part of the transcript to jump to and listen to that section of the podcast.

  6. To change the format of the podcast, select Change format.

  7. To delete or provide feedback on the generated podcast, select More options icon-dc-mobile-more-menu.svg and choose the appropriate option.

    View the podcast transcript, switch formats, and access options such as providing feedback or deleting the podcast on Acrobat for Android.

Note

You can return to your document’s podcast at any time by selecting Podcast icon-dc-podcast.svg from the top bar.
